How to prepare for a hen party

If you’ve been given the responsibility of planning a hen party there are five key things to plan for, namely;

  • Who do you invite?
  • When do you go?
  • Where do you go?
  • What do you do?
  • What theme does the party take?

The first four points should be discussed with the bride-to-be and the other bridesmaids and chief party planners, so you have a rough idea of what the bride-to-be wants. It is her big party night and as much as you may want to embarrass her, you want to also deliver a party she’ll remember affectionately.

However, the final point, which takes a look at the theme of the party is one aspect that should be a surprise. As you all should know a fair lot about the bride-to-be then you should be able to come up with a theme that she would appreciate, but the details should be kept as a secret.

Once you decide on a theme, which can be based around your location or events, you can then accessorise the hen party with cowboy hats, devil horns or angel wings, depending on the theme you are going for.

Some accessories, such as hen party sashes and willy straws are suitable for all parties, while every hen do needs some hen party games.
